Tiyharqu (TEE'YOU-hark)
Born in Kuroe, Tiyharqu did most of the designs for the Afeth, captained by Samaki. Tiyharqu serves as first mate on the ship. Known to her closest friends as Harqu (hark).
Life Before the Series
Tiyharqu left her ancestral home when she was still a girl, travelling south to Mahat with her merchant father. Tiyharqu became enamoured with the ships she saw sailing up and down the Hiperu. Still young, she left her father to apprentice under a shipwright who saw potential in her.
While working in Sareeb Tiyharqu met Samaki, a young merchant eager to build his own ship. The two quickly become friends and plan and build the Afeth together. Curious about life on the sea, Tiyharqu decided to stay on as first mate.

Physical Description
Described as being "a large woman, her skin dark as charcoal."[1] As well as "bald, broad-shouldered... with skin like a fire knife... [and] a broad smile. She wore a bright red vest and large baggy grey pants. On her chest and hands, she wore many silver and gold amulets."[2]
